Fred VanVleet Collection
A rare opportunity to design for a well-known NBA point guard, Fred VanVleet came to FutureZona with a vision of decorating his Houston home with various pieces of artwork.
“23”
A testament to Fred’s rise to NBA fame, showcasing his upbringing, childhood challenges, notable events, and his key NBA moments.

“FVV x NBA”
After his first NBA All-Star Game in 2022, Fred received 8 planks of hardwood from the court to take home as a memory. With that wood, he envisioned a piece where the hardwood would sit behind an 8 foot wall-mounted NBA logo giving me creative freedom to fill the interior with important moments he cherished during his time as a Toronto Raptor.

“Bet on Yourself”
Fred’s motto “Bet on Yourself” is what he lives by to beat the odds and perform to the best of his ability. This piece contains two die balancing against each other featuring his logo as the dots on the die. The base contains motivational and important mottos, words, and moments that helped him reach this point in his career.

“FVV x LO’B”
This piece is a 6ft tall replica of the Larry O’Brien Trophy, a testament to his 2019 NBA Championship with the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors logo is embedded in the basketball with motivational words and key moments of his life showcased throughout the neck of the trophy.

With a vision of creating a layered sheet metal 3D art piece replicating two famous Pablo Picasso portraits, FutureZona was given this task by a client to help make their vision a reality.
“Twinning Picassos”

Manufacturing the Twinning Picassos
Using laser cutters, 3D printers and more metal fabricating machines, the Twinning Picassos quickly came to life.

“Dastar Bunga”
A formation of 21 rising metal pyramids on marble bases. Made to honor the 21 brave Sikh warriors who held their ground against over 5000 opposing soldiers for over 19 hours, Dastar Bunga’s design was inspired by the seminal weaponry on the turban worn by Sikh warriors transmitting a statement of strength and unity through their army.
Development
Creating a 3 sided metal pyramid with flared out corners is not easy, but where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Using various ideas from previous projects to help make this one blend with the company image, I created a large amount of variations to help determine the direction we wanted to go forward with.
Testing
As the project is still ongoing, testing has been done to determine if the assembly method I designed works correctly.
The pyramids feature slits that are designed to firmly fit each face into one another without flexing or shaking. They are then attached to a custom Asian marble base to complete the pedestal design.

More to Come…
“Asteroid”
A 15 foot tall interstellar rock from the depths of outer space, but with a metal personality.
Currently in it’s development stages, “Asteroid” is an evolved version of “Destiny” (see Dubai Renders below). Made of stainless steel sheets, this piece is unlike anything people have seen before. With an overexaggerated sharp, detailed and futuristic exterior design, “Asteroid” is ready to make it’s statement.

“Airplane” Custom Flower Screws
A custom one-off piece for “Airplane” was ordered by a client with a request to create a special pattern with a “flower” design as the table top. To secure the table top to the piece, I was assigned the task of creating custom screws that match the design of the flower pattern.
Done as a proposal made for a possible client, “Balloons” is a series of unique metal balloons in three different arch configurations. Made to illuminate at night, their unique patterns project off the ground.

This collection of renders was created with the intention of winning a bid to host an exclusive art show in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. Here you’ll find past projects in environments located throughout the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

“Spear”
With the idea of creating a modern and elegant reiteration of an Indian-inspired spear, this piece is stored in a casing that displays its elegance majestically reflecting the gold faces and gems.

“Labyrinth”
Inspired by Hermes’ scarves, I was put up with the task of creating iterations of this piece reflecting the colorways of these scarves.
